The Wisest Little Pig

Don’t you ever think a children story can actually teach you something? I recently read a short story titled “The Three Little Pigs”. The story is about 3 pigs that built houses with their own choose of material. The first pig built his house from straw, the second was from wood, and the third built it from brick. When a wolf attacked their houses, only the third pig’s house stand strong. This is because he has made a wise decision to make his house from brick. Here are some lessons I can learn from the pigs.
First, it taught me about hard work. The biggest encounter of hardworking is laziness, and I have to learn to beat it like the third pig. It may be hard and take a long time for the third little pig to build his own house. But as the proverb says no pain no gain, in the end the third little pig gained a strong house from his “pain”. Hardworking also means giving my best. I am sure that the hard work I’ve done will not be in vain and I will get a satisfying result.
The second lesson is knowing the priority of which one should be done first. Life is choice so I will always face with choices everyday, and make a wrong decision will bring me into failure. One time I had homework. I’ve finished it the day before, but haven’t printed it. I was too sleepy that time, so I decided to sleep and print the homework the next day. But I forgot and I got extra homework as the punishment. Actually it would only take few minutes to print the homework, but I made a wrong decision. This experience taught me to be wiser in choosing priority even in little things.
Sometimes I underestimate a simple children story like this without reflecting even just once about what the story want to tell us. After reading it, I can learn two lessons. First is hardworking. I want to gain successes, so I have to be able to pass all the “pains” I have now. The second is knowing my priority so I know what I have to do, not what I want to do. It will not be easy to change my laziness, but it is not impossible, thank you for teaching me, wisest little pig!
